From curiosity to a more integrated life

My Story

The journey that shaped VERICA.

Where it started

I was first introduced to hypnosis through training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. At first, I was simply curious. I was interested in communication, the mind and techniques that could help me understand both myself and other people better.

But hypnosis quickly became much more fascinating to me than I had expected. What began as curiosity gradually became an important part of my own personal development — and something I wanted to continue learning about.

Then came spirituality

My curiosity eventually took me beyond hypnosis. Further training introduced me to spirituality and used hypnotic trance as one of the tools for exploring what may sit beneath our everyday conscious experience.

Until then, spirituality had often sounded to me like a collection of strange stories and beliefs. Experiencing and exploring it for myself changed that. It became less about believing the “right” things and more about understanding myself, becoming more open to other perspectives and finding my own way of making sense of difficult experiences.

Listening to myself — and looking for answers

Interestingly, becoming more aware of myself didn't make me less interested in science. In some situations, it did the opposite. When I experienced struggles in everyday life that I couldn't fully explain, I sought professional assessment and scientific information. With physical health, I also learned the importance of continuing to look for appropriate medical answers when something did not feel right.

Those experiences reinforced something that has become very important to me: being open to spirituality doesn't mean ignoring your body, medicine or science.

I stopped feeling that I had to choose

Over time, I found value in allowing scientific and spiritual perspectives to coexist in my life rather than asking one to replace the other. Medical support and evidence-based information can give answers that spirituality cannot; hypnosis, spirituality, Reiki and personal practices can offer a different dimension of reflection and meaning.

You can be spiritual and still ask questions. You can value science and still be curious about experiences that science may not fully explain. And you don't need to believe everything I believe in order for us to work together.

A professional journey alongside a personal one

While all of this was developing personally, my professional life was taking me through international business, communication and teaching before I eventually returned to a fast-paced commercial environment in Ireland and built a corporate sales career in Dublin.

Each stage taught me something different — about communication, people, cultures, listening, asking questions and adapting the way I communicate depending on the person in front of me. By the time I decided to leave corporate sales, I already knew the direction I wanted to pursue next.

Why VERICA?

The name VERICA has a personal connection to my own name, Weronika, and carries associations with truth and the idea of a “true image.” I liked how naturally that connected with something important to me: being true to yourself and finding your own way.

Today

My own experiences don't mean that I have all the answers — and I don't want to pretend that I do. They have taught me to listen, remain curious, question, keep learning and be open to different ways of understanding ourselves.

VERICA brings together my professional training, personal experience and the perspective I've developed over time. My story won't be the same as yours, and I don't expect it to be. But if something here feels familiar, I'd be happy to meet you.
